PE funding & Swimming
We believe that PE is vital to a child’s physical development and well-being. All pupils at The Grove Primary School will receive a broad and balanced physical education curriculum in the following areas:
Games ( Football, Hockey, Tag Rugby)
Outdoor Adventurous Activities
Pupils are taught to appreciate the importance of a healthy and fit body, as part of the curriculum in PE as well as in Health Education. The Grove Primary School maintains its Healthy Schools status.
Primary schools in England have been awarded a PE and Sports grant to improve the quality of PE provision. This grant is intended to inspire a generation to enjoy and participate in more sport, building a sporting legacy in each child that will keep them healthy, active and enjoying sport as they get older.
See the link below for more information about how The Grove Primary School has spent this funding.
