Rewards for Schools
Once again this year we will be taking part in rewards for schools which are being run by:
Tesco - Vouchers for Computers
Nestle – Box Tops Tokens from cereals
Persil – Art resources for School Tokens
Please collect as many tokens and vouchers as you can and bring them in to school.
Lateness
Please try to ensure that your child arrives at school on time. School starts at 8.50am promptly and finishes at 3.15pm. If you know your child will be late it is vitally important that you let the school know so that the office can book them a hot meal if needed. Once they arrive it is important to book them in with the office. Please help us to reduce late arrivals.
Parent and Toddler Group
This group meets from 9.30am - 11.30am during term time.

Milk
With effect from December 2011 our School Milk Scheme has changed.
Our school provides a milk scheme that is available to all of our pupils and we would like to invite you to register your child. School milk is free for all under-fives and is subsidised for pupils aged five or older at around £15 a term. Due to funding cutbacks children in receipt of free school meals will no longer receive free milk.
Each pupil that registers with Cool Milk will receive a carton of semi-skimmed milk everyday, which is delivered fresh and chilled to the classroom. Their school milk will not only provide them with essential nutrients, but as it is rehydrating and energy boosting it also bridges the gap between breakfast and lunch to help children stay focused.

Headlice
Head Lice is one of those persistent problems that many schools face. In order for us to reduce the number of children who get Head Lice it is important that parents check their children’s hair regularly. For children who have long hair it is important they wear their hair tied back securely for school.
If you discover that your child has Head Lice please follow the 10 day cycle of removal. This involves washing, conditioning and combing through the hair with a Head Lice comb every 2 days. The life cycle of Head Lice is around 10 days therefore it is important to repeat this cycle for at least this number of days to ensure that new hatchlings are removed from the hair.
Please do not keep your child off school because of Head Lice. You should treat them and return.
Attendance
Please could parents ensure that they call school before 9.15am in the morning if their child is not going to be at school for whatever reason. We have a dedicated mobile telephone also if you would prefer to text. The attendance mobile number is:
07773 425350 ![]()

Dogs on School Premises
We have become
increasingly aware that
some of you are bringing
your dogs with you when
you drop off and pick up
your children. It is
Leicestershire County
Council policy that NO
dogs should be allowed
on school property.
This is for health and
safety reasons.
