The Friends of Grove
would like to have your attention !

We are a group of parents and teachers who run activities and organise events to raise money for the school. This enables our children to enjoy additional out-of-school trips, and provides new equipment for them to use in school and in the playground.

To give you an idea, a few examples of how we spend money raised by the PTA (from April 2007 - March 2008) is listed below:

Paint for the concert background - £67.25
Grove Loughborough Museum - £91.50
Grove buses for trips - £1,133.39
Puppet Madness Show - £200
Paid half towards new sound system - £1,000
Donation towards traversing wall - £1,000
Donation to start up vegetable garden - £300
Class Donation - £900
(each class was given £100 to spend on things they would like!)

We need more parents to help!

We would like to encourage you to get involved in what we do. The more volunteers we have, the more we are able to do for our children.

If you are interested in what we do, please come along to any of our meetings (we will tell you when they are in school newsletters and on the website diary page). Everyone is welcome (and there is no obligation to join).

We also need your help at events

Throughout the year we organise events like discos, bingos, the school fete, etc... There are always a number of events coming up and we would very much appreciate your helping hand in one or more of these occasions (e.g. selling drinks, raffle tickets).

Obviously you can also support us by coming to and purchasing from fund-raising events.
